Double score! RUMvision got featured twice on Google IO 2024!

We're still buzzing after yesterday's incredible events at Google I/O! It was a double Dutch delight for RUMvision, as both our upcoming integration with Google Baseline and our work on INP measurement were featured at Google's biggest event of the year.

Double score! RUMvision got featured twice on Google IO 2024!

Setting the standard with Baseline

First up, our upcoming integration with Google Baseline got a shoutout! This powerful duo will be a game-changer for web developers.

What is Baseline?

Imagine knowing exactly which web features are ready to use. Baseline provides a clear status, so you can choose libraries and features or removing polyfills and fallbacks with confidence, all while avoiding compatibility surprises.

New to Baseline? Learn more about this initiative in our new blogpost:
Meet Baseline: a standardized browser support status for web features

We'll integrate Baseline data with our existing real user insights, allowing you to see how these features impact your actual user base. Make data-driven decisions for a smooth UX for everyone.

In the video below, Rachel Andrew (content lead @ Chrome Web DevRel) mentions RUMvision during Google I/O while talking about the Baseline initiative:

Pioneering the future with INP

But wait, there's more! RUMvision wasn't done basking in the spotlight. We were also featured in a talk about measuring Interaction to Next Paint (INP) on a site. This cutting-edge metric is all about understanding how well a website prioritizes user interactions over background tasks. No more waiting for a website to load before you can finally click that "Buy Now" button!

RUMvision has been at the forefront of this technology alongside Google for the past year, with us being to first to implement Long Animation Frames (LoAF), and it was fantastic to see our work recognized on such a grand stage.

In the video below, Jeremy Wagner (tech writer @ Chrome DevRel) talks about the web-vitals library v4 that comes with LoAF breakdown out of the box:

A triple win

This double feature at Google I/O is a huge win for everyone involved. Developers get the tools they need to create lightning-fast websites with happy users. Website owners can expect more conversions and a boost in their bottom line.

And users? They get the frustration-free browsing experience they deserve. Talk about a win-win-win!

We're still riding the high of this incredible recognition. It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of our amazing team here at RUMvision. We can't wait to share more details about our Baseline integration and continue pushing the boundaries of user experience measurement. Stay tuned for exciting updates!
