Logs

Our logging will allow you to stay on top of the following:

To actively stay in the loop of all url, user and domain changes, we recommend installing one of our integrated apps.

User activity

User activity will only show activity within a specific domain. So, dashboard navigations, url or user changes, et cetera.

Monitoring errors

This log is convenient to share with our support when you are running into issues. Our support will ask you to either:

  • give them access to your domain;
  • or share the latest errors that you see in this log.

Snippet changes

Changes in the tracking snippet configurations can be found in the snippet changes logs. You will see a record with either a single or bundled changes. By zooming in, a modal will open up with exact details of a change. See the screenshot below for such a modal:

Snippet invalidations

When making changes to either your URL's or tracking snippet configuration, you want them to reflect to your site as soon as possible. We designed our architecture to get rid of this burden yourselves.

Our JavaScript is typically cached at both CDN level and browser level. While we can't change a file that is in someone's cache already, we can make sure that your changes will be picked up as soon as possible by new (or returning) visitors. To achieve this, we automatically invalidate your domain tailored JavaScript when:

  • you are changing URL rules;
  • you are changing the snippet configurations.

The snippet invalidations log is showing you when and why we instructed the CDN to delete all caches and fetch new contents at the next occasion. At the top, you also get to see the frequency of snippet invalidations in the last two months.

URL rule changes

Changes in URL's are logged as well. They can be found by navigating to your URL listing and toggling the dropdown button at the top of the page. You will find a "changelog" option, that will redirect you to a list of changes in URL settings. The user responsible for the change will be shown over there as well.

User permission changes

Inviting users to a domain, changing permissions of existing users or removing users are logged in a changelog per domain.

They can be found by navigating to your user listing of a domain and toggling the dropdown button at the top of the page. You will find a "changelog" option, that will redirect you to a list of changes in user permissions. The user responsible for the change will be shown over there as well.
