Launch RUMvision 2.0 - the future of RUM is here!

Super proud moment, RUMvision 2.0 is LIVE 🎉 It has taken a lot of hard work, a lot of talking, and - most importantly - a lot of listening to our clients. But this new version truly puts the "vision" into RUM. Let us tell you what we've build and how it can help your business.

Mission and vision

When we built RUMvision 1.0, our mission was simple: make RUM data easily available to everyone and make people care enough to actually use it. We are proud to say that mission worked. With over 1,500 domains, 60+ agency partners, billions of experiences collected and 50+ public speaking events - including features at Google I/O - we have made a significant impact on the industry.

But we wanted more. Version 1.0 proved the concept worked, but version 2.0 represents our product in full maturity. While we rewrote every single line of code, our core vision remains unchanged: Every click must count.

Our goal is to reach a point where 9 out of 10 people have an excellent experience on any given website. In a world where attention spans are short and competition is just one click away, RUMvision aims to be the global standard for Real User Monitoring. And all from the EU in a completely GDPR-compliant way.

We are closing the gap between technical performance and commercial success. Speed shouldn't just be an IT topic - it is a core strategy for growth.

Our philosophy

To make this vision a reality, we follow a few simple rules:

  • Every millisecond is revenue: Slow sites and poor Core Web Vitals aren't just technical glitches; they are hurdles for customers and costs for marketers.

  • Data from real people: Lab data is a simulation, but RUM is reality. We focus on the actual experiences of real users on real devices.

  • Accessible for everyone: We translate high-end technical insights into something understandable for SEO specialists, marketers, business owners, and developers alike.

  • Software with a Service (SwaS): We don’t just provide the tools. We provide the expertise needed to turn performance data into profit.

Every business deserves access to RUM data in a way that allows them to act on it. Let me show you some of the features we built to make that possible:

Health check: find and fix performance issues on autopilot

Most companies collect performance data. Few act on it. Not because they don’t care, it’s just too much work to find what actually matters. That’s why we built the healthcheck.

We now run automated checks on every release to catch things like CLS shifts, lazy-load issues, slow interactions, and bfcache failures. Issues are opened automatically when a problem is detected. Once the problem is resolved, they close themselves. There is no more wondering, "did that deploy actually fix it?" Now, you just know.

When we launched RUMvision 2.0 earlier this week, most of our clients opened their new dashboards to find a pre-populated list of to-dos. I am happy to report that many of them started fixing those issues immediately. This is our ultimate goal: a better web for everyone, powered by fixes that are easy to find and solutions that are immediately clear.

The dashboards you love are still here

The core dashboards you use today aren’t going anywhere. Your filters, data, and workflows are all still there. We’ve stayed close to what works.

If you knew your way around RUMvision before, you’ll know your way around 2.0. We just updated the UI with a more modern look and easier filtering - which feels great to use. We have already received a lot of compliments on the new feel!

Look beyond Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals

Nothing is quite as confusing as all the different ways to measure performance - we understand! So, to start with - let me sum up the differences again.

Lighthouse vs Core Web Vitals vs RUM data

P75 vs P90 - because every click counts

Now let me complicate it a little more. We want to stop focusing on only passing Core Web Vitals - even if it's based on your own users data if you use RUM. Why? Look at that last UX score? See how P90 is a 32% UX score, while P75 a happy 93%?

That means that a lot of people are having a bad time - without you knowing about it. Not anymore. RUMvision is bringing their experiences front and center as well - so everyone has a better UX (and will hopefully visit your site more or better yet, buy more).

Still confused? Don't feel bad, so was I. But I actually wrote a percentiles for beginners recently to help you out.

The API is here

Many of you have asked for the ability to pull RUMvision data into your dashboards. With 2.0, that’s finally possible. Connect whatever you require, from client portals to reports and internal tools. It's been fun seeing the first custom dashboards already pop-up with our clients.

Of course you can use the Annotation API to automatically add your releases in your annotation overview in RUMvision.

A whole new website - but with the free tools you love!

A slick design, a new partner page, fun animations, yes, we also launched a new website!

But the free tools we know you love are still there - so go check out your UX score or compare if you're outperforming your competitors:

(we did somehow manage to break our Chrome extension. We'll have that fixed in no-time!)
