Filters help you narrow down your real-user data and understand under which conditions performance issues occur. By comparing different segments, you can avoid drawing conclusions from aggregated data that may hide important differences.
RUMvision provides many metrics and dimensions, so not every filter will be equally useful for every investigation. To make this easier, the interface helps you focus on the dimensions that are most likely to provide useful insights.
The right filters to use
When using the Technical dashboard, RUMvision highlights the dimensions that are most relevant to the metric you are analysing. Other filters remain available, but are shown less prominently when they are less likely to reveal a meaningful correlation with the selected metric.
Suggested filters
RUMvision also suggests filters that are commonly useful for the metric you are viewing. These suggestions provide a practical starting point for your investigation, helping you quickly explore the conditions that may be contributing to a performance issue without having to work through every available dimension.
